AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
Faults
- When driving, if the message
"gearbox fault" and the SERVICE
warning light appear on the
instrument panel, this indicates a
fault.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer as
soon as possible.
- When driving, if the message
"gearbox overheating" and the
SERVICE warning light appear on
the
instrument
panel,
traffic conditions allow, avoid
leaving the lever in position D
(or R): always return to position N
when you stop.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer as
soon as possible.
- If a vehicle with an automatic
gearbox breaks down, refer to
the information on towing in
Section 5.

When starting, if the lever is locked
in position P even though you are
depressing the brake pedal, the
lever can be released manually. To
do this, unclip the upper section of
the cover at the base of lever 4.
Press simultaneously on the mark
on the cover 7 and the unlocking
button on lever 5.
When refitting, take care to clip
base 4 correctly and to reposition
gaiter 6 correctly by pressing on its
base.
