MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

This section includes instructions for
basic maintenance procedures.
WARNING
Turn off the engine and follow
these maintenance procedures
when performing maintenance.
If you do not follow proper main-
tenance procedures you can be
injured by hot parts, moving parts,
electricity, chemicals or other haz-
ards.
WARNING
Should removal of a locking device
(e.g. lock tabs, self-locking fasten-
ers, etc.) be required, always re-
place with a new one.
NOTICE
Never leave any object,
rag, tool, etc., in the engine com-
partment or in the bilge.
When it is required to lift the watercraft
for service or to install it on a stand, use
only the front and the transom eyelets
of the watercraft.
NOTICE
Never use the central eye-
let, mast or inflatable sponsons to lift
the watercraft.

Engine Compartment

Engine Compartment Inspection
Inspect the engine compartment for
fuel vapor odor.

WARNING
Should any leak or gasoline odor
be present, do not apply electri-
cal power or start the engine. You
should seek service from an autho-
rized Sea-Doo dealer, repair shop,
or person of your own choosing
for maintenance, repair, or re-
placement. Please refer to the
EPA EMISSIONS-RELATED WAR-
RANTY
contained herein for infor-
mation about warranty claims.
To access the engine compartment,
open the seat.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT, SEAT REMOVED

Engine Oil

Recommended Engine Oil
Use XPS 4-STROKE SYNTH. BLEND
OILXPS 4-STROKE SYNTH. BLEND
OIL (SUMMER) (P/N 293 600 121).
If the recommended XPS
is not available, use a 5W40 or 10W40
engine oil meeting the requirements
for API service classification SM, SL
or SJ. Always check the API service
label certification on the oil container, it
must contain at least one of the above
standards.
