reach of children and other unauthorized people.

Inspection, maintenance, and cleaning

BEFORE EACh uSE, inspect the general condition of the Concrete Vibrator.
Check for loose screws, binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts,
damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe
operation.

AFTER EACh uSE, clean the Head End (1A), Annular Tube (3A), and Hose
(11A) thoroughly with water. WARNINg! Avoid accidental electric shock. Do
not allow water to enter the air vents at the Right and Left Handle Cover sides
(21, 30).

TO REPlACE ThE CARBON BRuShES: At some time it may be necessary
to replace or clean the two Carbon Brushes (19) when Motor performance
decreases, or stops working completely. The Carbon Brushes are located
on each side of the Housing (2). To replace or clean the Carbon Brushes,
remove the two Brush Box (1) Covers from the Housing. Then remove the
Carbon Brushes. If the Carbon Brushes are worn down more than 1/2, replace
both Carbon Brushes. If, however, the Carbon Brushes are just dirty they may
be cleaned by rubbing them with a pencil eraser. When installing the Carbon
Brushes, make sure the carbon portion of the Brushes contact the Motor
Armature, and that the springs face away from the Motor. Also, make sure the
springs operate freely. After replacement or cleaning, re-install the Brush Box
Covers. NOTE: New Carbon Brushes tend to arc or spark when first used until
they wear and conform to the Motor's Armature. (See Assy. diagram.)

TO REPlACE ThE gREASE SEAl: Only a qualified service technician should
attempt to replace the Grease Seal (A) of the tool.

Vibrator to its "OFF" position and unplug the tool from
its electrical outlet before performing any inspection,
maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
