6) Install the steerng handle cable grommet in the
groove in the front bracket aligning the flat part of
the front bracket with the flat part of the steerng
handle cable grommet.
FRONT BRACKET
7) Align the positioning tape (white) on the 14P/6P
connector cable with the end of the steerng handle
cable grommet.

8) Align the groove in the remote control cables (shift
and throttle) with the groove in the remote control
cable plate.
9) Install the remote control cable cover on the
remote control cable plate with the projection on
the remote control cable cover set in the cutout in
the remote control cable plate. Tighten the 6 x 16
mm flange bolt.
10) Install the lock nut and shift pivot on the remote
control cable.
• Apply marine grease to the shift pivot link pin.
11) Connect the shift pivots to the shift link pin and the
throttle arm link pin. (Slide the lock plates to
connect the remote control cables and lock.)
• Adjust the remote control cables after connection
(see P. 33 and 36).
