Stop therapy in one of two ways:
Remove the mask, and press the Start/Stop button to stop airflow.

If SmartStart/Stop is enabled, simply remove the mask and treatment will stop

automatically.

therapy begins for adjusting mask fit to minimize leak. It allows the patient to assess
mask fit at typical treatment pressure at the start of the night, when pressure delivered
is normally quite low.

Instruct the patient to lie down in bed. If desired, place the tubing over the top of the
headboard to reduce drag on the mask.
WARNING
!
Do not leave long lengths of air tubing around the top of the bed; they may twist
around the patient's head or neck while sleeping.
2 Instruct the patient to put the mask on according to the mask user instructions.

Hold down the Start/Stop key on the control panel (see Figure 1, S8 Elite Keypad
and LCD, on page 19) for at least 3 seconds until pressure delivery starts and the
following screen appears:
Note: The mask-fit pressure is the set treatment pressure, or 10 cm H
greater.

Adjust the mask, cushion, and headgear to achieve optimal fit.
