1. Loosen the plunge lock (r).
2. Lower the router carriage as required.
3. Tighten the plunge lock (r).
4. Adjust the nut as required.
Fitting the Parallel Fence (fi g. 5)
1. Fit the guide rods (f) to the router base (g).
2. Tighten the locking bolts on the router base.
3. Slide the parallel fence (d) over the rods.
4. Tighten the locking bolts (t) temporarily.
Fitting the Parallel Fence (fi g. 6)
1. Draw a cutting line on the material.
2. Lower the router carriage until the cutter is in
contact with the workpiece.
3. Lock the carriage in this position.
4. Position the tool on the cutting line. The outer
cutting edge of the cutter must coincide with
the cutting line.
5. Slide the parallel fence (d) against the workpiece
and tighten the locking bolts (t). For fine
adjustment, loosen the end lock (u), use the
adjuster (e) and tighten the end lock (u).
Fitting a Guide Bush (fi g. 7)
Together with a template, guide bushes play a
valuable part in cutting and shaping to a pattern.
1. Fit the guide bush (v) to the router base (g)
using the screws (w) as shown.
Dust Extraction (fi g. 8)
WARNING: The dust extraction channel
is equipped with an integrated finger
guard (x). For optimum safety, always
use the dust extraction facility.
1. When working without the parallel fence,
connect a dust extractor hose to the dust
extraction adaptor (h).
2. When working with the parallel fence, connect
a dust extractor hose to the dust extraction
adaptor (y) under the parallel fence.
3. Whenever possible, connect a dust extraction
device designed in accordance with the relevant
regulations regarding dust emission.
Prior to Operation
1. Check that the cutter is correctly installed in
the collet.
2. Set the cutting depth.
3. Connect a dust extractor.
4. Make sure the plunge limiter is always locked
before switching on.
5. Select the optimal speed using the electronic
speed control dial.

as indicated in fig. 9 (outer edges/inner
edges).
Proper Hand Position (fi g. 10)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury, ALWAYS use
proper hand position as shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury, ALWAYS hold
securely in anticipation of a sudden
reaction.
Proper hand position requires each hand on the
handles (b).
Switching On and Off (fi g. 1)
1. On: pull the switch (a) up.
2. Off: press the switch (a) down.
WARNING: Loosen the plunge limiter
and allow the router carriage to regain
its rest position before switching off.
Using Guide Bushes (fi g. 7)
1. Secure the template to the workpiece using
end clamps.
2. Select and install an appropriate guide bush (v).
