7.8.6 To examine the ignition system
1. Examine the clutch and the flywheel for wear or
damages. Replace the parts if it is necessary.
2. Examine the ignition module and its cables. Replace
the ignition module if it is damaged.

7.9 Cylinder and piston

7.9.1 To disassemble the cylinder and piston
1. Remove the drive shaft tube.
2. Remove the spark plug cover and the spark plug.
3. Remove the cylinder cover.
4. Remove the starter.
5. Remove the muffler and heat shield.
6. Remove the air filter cover, the air filter and the air
filter holder.
7. Remove the carburetor, the distance piece and the
heat shield.
8. Loosen the 4 screws. Move the cylinder rearward
and forward and lift it.

9. Remove the cylinder base gasket. Make sure that no
dirt goes in the crankcase. Put a cloth on the snap
rings of the wrist pin piston.
10. Use a pointed tool to remove the snap ring of the
wrist pin.
