Assignment of the three G4 display interfaces
Via the G4 display interfaces image data as well as the keyboard and mouse
signals are transmitted from VDP displays to the control cabinet PC (IPC).
NOTICE
The cables must not be plugged together for extension purposes, as this dam‐
ages the VDPs.
The following cable length must not be exceeded:
Cable between control cabinet PC (IPC) and Y-repeater
Cable between Y-repeater and VDP
Total length between control cabinet PC (IPC) and VDP
Fig.7-19:
Permitted cable lengths of G4 display interfaces
All three values must be observed!
X21 –
The selection, which of the VDP displays connected to the Y-Repeater is acti‐
vated, occurs via a digital 24 V input. As the image signals are transmitted to
both VDP displays, data can only be entered with the active VDP.
