by heterodyne type signals. This con-
trol is not effective in reducing interfer-
ence caused by SSB, FM, or AM type
signals.
SQL (squelch) control®---......
Used to adjust squelch sensitivity.
Turning the control clockwise deepens
the squelch.

Used to control the gain of the high fre-
quency amplifiers. For normal opera-
tions this control should be full clock-

transmissions longer than one hour are necessary, use the
RF POWER control to reduce the output level of the
TS-940S to 50 watts or less.
