Fitting IE FC outlet RJ-45

Introduction
The individual steps required to assemble an IE FC cable and an IE FC outlet RJ-45 are
explained below.
Note the information in the assembly instructions of the outlet.
Procedure
1. Strip the IE FC cable with the IE FC
stripping tool; refer to the section
"Industrial Ethernet FastConnect
Stripping Tool (Page 8)".
5. Open the casing cover of the IE FC
outlet RJ-45.
8. Press down both contact covers to
contact the wires.

2. Pull the protective foil off the wires.
3. Remove the support elements
between the wires.
6. Open both contact covers.
9. Close the cover of the FC outlet RJ-
45 casing and screw down the
cover.
4. Spread out the wire pairs according
to the colors marked on the contact
cover.
7. Push the pairs into the contact
cover according to the color
markings.
10. Connect the end device or the
network component using a suitable
RJ-45 patch cable.
