FORWARD-Facing Installation Harness Mode
Britax strongly recommends:
•
children should ride REAR-facing until they exceed the
weight or height limits specified, and
•
the top tether be used at ALL times when installing the
child restraint FORWARD-facing. Using the top tether
will improve the stability of your child restraint and
reduce the risk of injury.
Use FORWARD-facing only:
• with harness straps in
closest position above
the child's shoulder, and
• with children weighing
22 - 65 lb (10 - 29.5 kg),
and
• who are 49 in (124.5 cm)
or less in height, and
• when the top of the ears
are below the top of headrest.
FORWARD-Facing Installation with Vehicle Lap-
Shoulder Belt (Preferred Method)
1. Extend the top tether
strap by lifting on the top
tether adjuster.
2. Unhook the top tether
hook from the back of
the child restraint and
place it up and over the
seatback.
3. Recline child restraint to
the appropriate position.
Refer to page 15 to
determine appropriate
recline position.
