STEERING ANGLE DETECTION FUNCTION
• The steering angle is calculated based on the signal from the steering angle sensor and sent to other units via
CAN.
Steering Angle Sensor
• The steering angle sensor, located on the combination switch, detects the steering angle and the neutral
position, and transmits them to the BCM.
Note
• The steering angle reference point stored in the BCM is cleared in the following cases. Perform the
steering angle sensor initialization referring to the Workshop Manual.
— Negative battery cable disconnected
— Steering angle sensor connector disconnected
— Fuse (ROOM) removed
— Wiring harness between battery and BCM disconnected
