AC timer recording

Recording source (external
tuner, etc.)
Set EXTERNAL TIMER
to "REC"
to a wall outlet
Note
In case recording is
impossible because the safety
switch on the cassette is slid
to red, the cassette is ejected
when the power turns on at a
preset time.
By connecting this VCR to an external AC timer (not supplied), you can
start recording at a preset time.

Connect this VCR to an external AC timer (not
supplied).

Insert a blank tape.

Press INPUT SELECT to select the recording source.

Set the timer-on time on the connected AC timer.
At the preset time, the power of this VCR and the recording
source turn on automatically and recording starts about several
to 10 seconds later. Set the timer allowing a margin for the
recording to start.

Set the EXTERNAL TIMER switch at the rear to "REC."
You need not press r REC.
If the tape ends before the recording source stops operation
The tape stops without rewinding.
To stop recording durng the timer recording
Press p STOP.
To release AC timer recording
Set the EXTERNAL TIMER switch to "OFF."
Caution
While a tape is running, do not turn off the power using an AC
timer. The VCR and a tape may be damaged. When turning off the
power of the VCR, make sure to press p on this VCR first to stop
the tape, then turn off the power.
