Viewing information
about the disc in the

display

You can check the playing time and remaining
time of the current track or that of the disc.
When a DVD/CD-TEXT disc or a disc with
MP3 audio tracks or JPEG image file is loaded,
you can also check the information recorded on
disc, such as the titles.
Checking the remaining time
and titles (DVD/VIDEO CD/CD/
Super Audio CD/MP3/JPEG)
Press DISPLAY on the DVD player during
Normal Play.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
x When playing a DVD
Current title number and elapsed playing time
t Current title number and remaining time
t Current chapter number and elapsed playing

x When playing a CD/Super Audio CD/

Notes
• ID3 tags support only version 1.
• When an ID3 tag is recorded on the current MP3 file,
the ID3 information appears in place of the track title
(file name).
• The ID3 tag character code conforms to ASCII and
ISO9660. Joliet format discs display only in ASCII.
Characters that do not support ASCII or ISO9660 are
not displayed correctly.
• When the MP3 bit rate is VBR (Variable Bit Rate),
the MP3 elapsed playing time and remaining time
may not be displayed correctly.
x When playing a JPEG

The disc that does not include the alphabet
information is skipped.
