Resetting your Hardware Drivers
If you encounter some problems some of the
hardware
components
computer, you may need to restore the
hardware drivers so that it functions exactly as
when your Packard Bell computer left the
factory.
Click on the Hardware button.
• Click on the tick icon next to a category's
name to reinstall the drivers.
Once you have selected the drivers you wish
to re-install, click on Ok. Follow any
instructions that are displayed on the screen.
After re-installing a driver, you may need to restart your computer.

ECOVERY
If the troubleshooting steps (page 33) did not help fix your problem, you can run the
Program
. This will restore your computer to the same state as when you purchased it, while giving you an
option to retain all settings and personal data for later retrieval.
Before using the Recovery Program, please try to fix your computer with Windows XP System Restore.
DO NOT SAVE data in C:\WINDOWS. Even during a
this folder will be deleted.
After recovery, all software titles that you have installed on your computer must be reinstalled before
you can use them again.
If you were given a choice of languages when you first setup your computer, you can only recover your
operating system in the language you chose originally.
Due to the wide range of reasons for which the Recovery Program may be used, no guarantee can be
given that all data will be retained. Backup your personal files!
