Overview of the configuration of a CP proxy in STEP 7 V5
1. Create a STEP 7 project.
2. Create an S7-300 station and the necessary networks.
3. Insert the proxy in the station as the substitute for the CP.
The proxy can be configured like a TIM 3V-IE Advanced with several special properties.
For information on the proxy, refer to the section The CP proxy (Page 49).
4. Perform the configuration in STEP 7 as described in the system manual SINAUT ST7.
5. Perform the configuration in the SINAUT engineering software as described in the system
manual SINAUT ST7.
You will find deviations from the normal configuration in the section Points to note when
configuring the proxy (Page 50).
6. Export the configuration data of the proxy via the SINAUT diagnostics and service tool.
For information on this, refer to section Exporting configuration data (Page 55).

The CP proxy

"PROXY CP1243-8 IRC" as CP proxy in HW Config
1. In STEP 7 V5 insert any S7-300 CPU in an S7-300 station.
The CPU serves as a placeholder for the SINAUT subscriber number.
2. Insert the proxy as the substitute for the CP.
You will find the module in the catalog of HW Config under the name
"PROXY CP1243-8 IRC".
