Symptom
The changed menu
setting does not function.
You cannot charge the
battery by connecting
the IC recorder to your
computer.
The audio is weak or
has poor quality when
listening to the radio.
The picture of your TV
becomes unstable.
You cannot receive FM
radio stations, or a lot of
static is heard.
You cannot preset an FM
radio station.
Remedy
If the battery is removed just after the menu setting is

changed, the menu setting may not function.
Disconnect the IC recorder from your computer and reconnect

it.
Operation is not guaranteed if you use any system

requirements other than those described on page 72.
When you are listening to the FM radio, you cannot charge the

battery.
The battery is weak. Replace the battery with new one (page

13).
Move the unit away from the TV.

If you are listening to an FM program near the TV with an

indoor antenna, move the IC recorder away from the TV.
The headphones are not connected (the headphone cord is

the FM antenna).
Connect the headphones to the

extend the headphone cord.
"DX/LOCAL" has been set to "LOCAL. " Set it to "DX" (page 67).

You have already preset 30 FM radio stations. Erase unwanted

preset stations (page 95).
"SCAN SENSITIVITY" has been set to "LOW (SCAN L). " Set it to

"HIGH (SCAN H)" (page 68).

