Definition
The ratio of horizontal distance (distance
traveled over the ground) to vertical distance
traveled (nn.n:1).
The velocity that the aircraft is traveling relative
to a ground position.
The difference between OAT and the standard
atmospheric temperature at the current altitude.
The current time and date in 12-hour or 24-
hour format.
A unit of speed that measures the ratio of the
speed of an airplane to the speed of sound in
the same atmospheric conditions.
Uses Grid MORAs to determine a safe altitude
within ten miles of the aircraft's present
position.
The static air temperature outside the aircraft.
This is the temperature measured by the OAT
probe, with correction for ram temperature rise.
The temperature measured by the OAT probe,
without correction for ram temperature rise.
The current fuel remaining adjusted for fuel
burn and based on fuel flow.
Direction of aircraft movement relative to a
ground position.
The quantity of fuel used based on fuel flow.
The current time in Universal (UTC) time.
The vertical speed necessary to descend/climb
from the current position and altitude to the
previously selected VNAV position and altitude,
based upon current ground speed.
