Circuit operation
Each outside mirror has two reversible motors. One motor adjust the power mirror up and down, and the other
motor adjusts the mirror right and left. The power mirror switch controls these motors by changing the polarity
of the voltage to the motors. The power mirror switch also contains a mirror select switch, which directs the
voltage to the LH or RH power mirror.
With the ignition switch in "ACC" or "ON" position, battery voltage is applied from "AUDIO (10A)" fuse to the
power mirror switch through the O wire. The power mirror switch is permanently grounded throgh the B wire.
When the mirror select switch is in "LH" position, the mirror position switch will control the two motors in the LH
outside mirror.
When the up switch is pressed, battery voltage is applied to the terminal A(W) of UP/DOWN motor of the LH
power mirror by the UP switch of power mirror switch. Ground is provided the terminal B(Y/G) of UP/DOWN
motor of LH power mirror through the UP switch of the power mirror switch. The UP/DOWN motor in the LH
power mirror will run and turn the LH power mirror up.
When the DOWN switch is pressed, battery voltage is applied to the terminal B (Y/G) of UP/DOWN motor of
the LH power mirror through the DOWN switch of power mirror switch. Ground is provided the terminal A(W) of
UP/DOWN motor in LH power mirror through the DOWN switch of power mirror switch.
Changing the polarity of voltage to the motor will cause the UP/DOWN motor to operate in the opposite
direction and turn the LH power mirror down.
The LEFT/RIGHT motor of the LH power mirror operates in a similar way. When the mirror select switch in
"RH" postion, the RH power mirror is adjusted in same way according to the position
