The DHCP server startup, which determines if the print server will ac t as
DHCP server. If this item is set to Auto, the print server will detect if there is
any other DHCP s erver on the network w hen it boots up. If there is no DHCP
server on the network , then the print server will configure itself as DHCP
server; otherwis e it will dis able this func tion.
DHCP setting is us ed to c onfigure TCP/IP parameters that will be ass igned to
a DHCP client. If this item is set to Auto, the print server will determine all
TCP/IP parameters automatic ally; otherwise you will configure the following
parameters:
Starting IP: specifies the s tarting IP address for assigning to DHCP c lients .
IP range: specifies how many IP addresses are available to DHCP c lients .
Net mask : gives the network mask .
Gateway IP: gives the IP address of the default gateway.
DNS server: gives the IP address of the domain name server.
The Save to Print Server button: save the configuration to the print server.
Make s ure to reset the print server (described in section 8.3.11) to
have the changes take effect.
