Anti-Theft Alarm System
The anti-theft alarm can be armed or
disarmed with the master key, valet
key or flat key by locking or unlocking
either fron t door or the trunk.
Operation
Once the alarm system has been
armed, the exterior vehicle lamps will
flash and the horn will sound interm it
tently when someone:
•
opens a door
•
opens the trunk
•
opens the hood
•
removes the radio
•
sw itches on or bridges the igni
tion circuit
•
steps on the brake pedal.
30
The alarm will last approxim ately
150 seconds in the form of blinking
exterior lamps. A t the same tim e an
additional horn will sound interm it
tently fo r 60 seconds, pause for
30 seconds, and repeat fo r another
60 seconds.
The alarm will stay on even if the acti

is immediately closed.
Note:
If the radio is removed from its
mounting when the anti-theft alarm is
armed the radio will autom atically be
rendered inoperative! (This is indi
cated by a dashed line across the dis

Do not give the master key to an
unauthorized person. We recom m end
that you carry the flat key safely with
you so that it is always handy. This
key has the same function as the
master key.
