2.2 Connection Method

WARNING
When installing or removing this card, turn off the power of each device
(SERVER and peripheral equipment), and remove the cord from the outlet.
Otherwise, it causes an electrical shock.
Notes
・ Connect the power cords to SERVER, peripheral equipment, and SCSI
device after the installation of this card and connection to the SCSI device
are completed.
・ Before turning on the power to SERVER, peripheral equipment, and SCSI
device, read the instruction manual for each device carefully.
・ This card supports the 68-pin connector for the external SCSI device only.
・ This card supports the external differential SCSI device only. Don't connect
any single-end SCSI device to this card.

Installing this card
Follow these instructions to install this card:
Note
For the specifics of installing an expansion card such as this card, refer to
the SERVER's documentation.
1) Turn off the power to your SERVER and peripherals and disconnect the power
cords.
2) Remove the cover from the SERVER.
3) Locate an unused 32-bit PCI slot (the slot must support Bus Master data
transfers); unscrew and remove the bracket that covers the card-slot opening.
(Save the screws for use in securing this card.)
4) Insert this card into the PCI slot. Press it down firmly so that the contacts are
securely seated in the PCI slot.
5) If this card is secured in the PCI slot firmly, use the screws removed in step 3),
and secure the bracket of this card.
6) Confirm that all power switches are off, put the cover back on SERVER.
