Note: Before adjusting the horizontal position of the bottom rail, mark the vertical position of
the rail on the antenna base and ensure that it is not changed while adjusting the horizontal
position.
Loosen the four 5/8" bolts between the bottom rail and the antenna base and slide the rail horizontally
until the two 2" bolts can he installed between the bottom ladder bracket and the bottom fixed rail
(these bolts should remain loose). Check to ensure that the ball lock pin can also be installed,
adjusting the horizontal position again if required. Check and adjust the height of the bottom rail as
required then tighten the 5/8" bolts between the fixed rail and the antenna base.
n.
After adjusting the horizontal position of the bottom rail remove the 2" bolts between the ladder
brackets and fixed rails (top and bottom) and remove the ball lock pin. Re-check the clearance
between the top ladder bracket and the top fixed rail repeating steps H thru J as required.
o.
The ladder should slide easily along the full length of the fixed rails, with the bottom rail supporting
the ladder weight and the top rail acting only as a guide without taking any of the weight of the
ladder. Once all adjustments are complete, torque the 5/8" bolts between the bottom fixed rail and
antenna base to 150 ft-lbs.
p.
Using the 3/8" diameter drill bit supplied, use the 1/4" dia. holes in the top and bottom rails as
templates to match drill through the antenna structure then install spacers and 3/8" cad plated
hardware. This is an extra measure to ensure that the rails do not slip in the slotted holes in the future.
Tighten the 318" cad plated hardware to 20 ft-lbs.
q.
Move the ladder to the center position, install the ball lock pin and the 2" hardware between the
ladder brackets and fixed rails, torque bolts to 50 ft-lbs.
