Summary of Installation Sequence
Antenna assemblies and components should be installed in the following sequence, using procedures
detailed in the paragraphs that follow.
a.
Install Base Interface Kit to the pedestal.
b.
Install Fixed Feeds Unit to the reflector base.
c.
Install the Ladder Kit to the rear of the reflector.
d.
Install PSR/SSR Interface Mount to top of the reflector
e.
Install the SSR LVA to the PSR/SSR Interface Mount (see the LVA installation manual).
f.
Use Antenna Lift Kit and a crane to lift assembly of a.) thru d.) to the pedestal.
g.
Level the antenna assembly.
h.
Install the Beamswitch/Polarization Control box.
i.
Install the AC Junction Box.
j.
Adjust Antenna Azimuth.
k
Perform Antenna Feed Horn Alignment Check
l.
Install waveguide runs from dual feed assembly to the rotary joint.
m. Install all coaxial and electrical cables.
n.
Perform final readiness check.
o.
Install Feed Counterweights to the Fixed Feeds Unit.
p.
Install the Counterweights to the Feed Support.
