Turning OFF the power of the host machine

Check that the main power switch is OFF.
1) Turn OFF the main power switch of the host machine.
2) Be sure that Control Panel Display and Main Power Lamp are both turned OFF, and then
disconnect the power plug.

Unpacking of the Reader Unit

1) Unpack the Reader Unit.
CAUTION:
Be sure to remove included parts from the cardboard packaging.
2) When removing the plastic, lift the rear of the Reader Unit and remove it as shown in the
figure.
