APPENDIX 2 HOW TO MAKE THE RETRACTION TANK FOR WOODEN VESSEL
Recommended dimensions for the faring
• Length (bow-stern direction): R. P + 100 mm or more (700 mm or more recommended)
• Length (both sides direction): Pipe O.D + 100 mm or more
• Diameter 1: Pipe O.D + 1 mm
• Diameter 2: Pipe I.D + 1 mm
• Distance between the bottom lines of the fairing and PVC pipe: 30 mm
Note1: Be sure the fairing does not interfere with the raising or lowering of the transducer.
Note2: Streamline the fairing to keep water pressure and bubbles minimal.
Note3: If the height of the fairing is less than 300 mm, install a wooden reinforcement block on the
inside of the hull.
