    MONITORING YOUR HEART RATE Feedback Your Horizon Fitness elliptical trainer offers two heart rate feedback options. You may choose to use the heart rate handlebars, or the chest transmitter (sold separately) for a hands free workout. Heart Rate Handlebar Place the palm of your hands directly on the heart rate handlebars.
  • Page 6 Center the chest strap just below the breast or pectoral muscles, directly over your sternums, with the Horizon Fitness logo facing out. NOTE: The chest strap must be tight and properly placed to receive an accurate and consistent readout. If the chest strap is too loose, or positioned improperly, you may receive an erratic or inconsistent heart rate readout.

  • Page 9 CHAPTER IV TROUBLESHOOTING No resistance or Incorrect resistance Symptom: : : : 1. The resistance is un-adjustable during exercise. 2. The resistance is reverse or much too heavier. Reason: : : : 1. Speed sensor wire is defective. 2. Console cable or ECB motor is defective. 3.
  • Page 10 CHAPTER IV TROUBLESHOOTING If output is DC 6V, the MCB motor defective. Replace ECB motor. B) If the ECB motor can move, the resistance can be adjusted. If the resistance is still much too heavier. Check the gap between orange block and the bottom. It shall be within 1-2 If the gap is bigger than 1-2 mm, the resistance will be heavier than normal.
  • Page 11 CHAPTER IV TROUBLESHOOTING No power to the console Symptom: Console does not light up. Reason: 1. Adaptor not correct or defective. 2. Console cable defective. 3. Console defective. Solution: 1. The adaptor for this model is 12V -1A. Ensure to use the correct specification of an adaptor, and replace the adaptor if it is defective.
