To install the heat sink:
CAUTION:
To prevent overheating or a possible system crash, use only a heat sink specified for your
ProLiant server.
If you are using a new heat sink, remove the cover protecting the preapplied thermal compound.
1.
Be careful not to touch or scratch the thermal compound.
Make sure the heat sink cable is not caught underneath the heat sink during
IMPORTANT:
installation.
Install the heat sink.
2.
Insert the spring-loaded screws into the system board holes (1).
a.
Use a T-15 Torx screwdriver to tighten the spring-loaded screws (2).
b.
Connect the heat sink cable to its system board connector (3).
c.
Perform the post-installation procedure.
