Configuring multicast source port filtering

This feature is supported on the following hardware:
MSR routers installed with the Layer 2 switching module HMIM 24GSW, HMIM 24GSW-POE, HMIM
8GSW.
When the multicast source port filtering feature is enabled on a port, the port blocks all multicast data
packets, but it permits multicast protocol packets to pass. You can connect the port to multicast receivers
but not to multicast sources.
If this feature is disabled on the port, you can connect the port to either multicast sources or multicast
receivers.
You can enable multicast source port filtering either for the specified ports in IGMP-snooping view or for
the current port in interface view. These configurations have the same priority level.

Enabling dropping unknown multicast data

CAUTION:
For MSR routers installed with the Layer 2 switching module SIC 4GSW or SIC 4GSWP, unknown IPv6
multicast data will be dropped if you enable dropping unknown IPv4 multicast data on them.
This feature is supported on the following hardware:
MSR routers installed with the Layer 2 switching module SIC 4GSW, SIC 4GSWP, HMIM 24GSW,
HMIM 24GSW-POE, or HMIM 8GSW.
Unknown multicast data refers to multicast data for which no forwarding entries exist in the IGMP
snooping forwarding table. When the Layer 2 device receives such multicast data, one of the following
occurs:
If the function of dropping unknown multicast data is disabled, the Layer 2 device floods unknown
multicast data in the VLAN to which the data belongs.
