Setting Up the Data Function
You can connect the MTM800 Enhanced to an external
device (such as a laptop or desktop PC). The MTM800
Enhanced will then be capable of transmitting and receiving
data from the external device. To connect the MTM800
Enhanced accessory connector to the external device, use
cable FKN4897. The external device must run an application
complying with the TETRA standards.
From the main menu, select Setup
> Data Setup.
The display shows the current setting:
1. Voice Only — The MTM800
Enhanced will receive and transmit
voice calls only.
2. Data Only — The MTM800 Enhanced acts as a modem.
The MTM800 Enhanced will reject incoming and outgoing
voice calls (except for Emergency Calls), status and text
messages.
3. Voice & Data — The MTM800 Enhanced acts as a modem
but voice calls will have priority over data calls and will
interrupt them.
Scroll to the desired setting and press Select.
In Data Only and in Voice & Data, the Data Connected icon is
displayed after you have connected the MTM800 Enhanced
to the external device and the MTM800 Enhanced is ready
for data transfer. The Data Transmit/Receive icon is
