In order to use the External Alerter And Recording Interface accessory, the telephone must be equipped with the 3900 series ACM (Accessory Connection Module) in the footstand and the power supply (purchase separately).

    Troubleshooting Ensure that the ACM (Accessory Connection Module) power supply is connected to the telephone and plugged into a working AC outlet. Ensure that the External Alerter and Recording Interface is completely inserted and the release latch is engaged. If using the RJ12 jack, ensure that the modular cord contains 6 wires. If using the 2.5mm or 3.5mm jacks ensure that the plugs are fully inserted.
