9. MAINTENANCE

9-1. Changing Address of Remote Control Unit in Indoor Unit

WARNING
If the operation is disturbed by radio interference (RFI) of the remote control signals, change the address of the
remote control unit by cutting the jumper wire on PCB A of the indoor unit, and use the optional remote control
unit with address switch provided for servicing.
NOTE
Special remote control unit provided for servicing have a switch for changing the address setting.
To Change Address on PCB
(1) Cut jumper wire (JP04) on the indoor unit PCB A.
(2) Switch the address switch on the special remote control unit provided for servicing to "B" position.
(3) After inserting the batteries, press reset button.

Optional remote control unit provided for servicing (RCS-IMPS4E)
(1) Remove tab for chang-
ing the address of the
remote control unit.
Before starting any service or maintenance work, be sure to wait more than 10 min-
utes after turning the power switch off.
