5.1.2 REGULAR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE FLOW DIAGRAM

Copy a C-4 chart in the following modes:
• Black photo mode
• Full color photo mode
• Full color letter mode
1. Wipe the platen cover first with a damp cloth and then with a
dry cloth.
2. Clean the exposure glass with water or alcohol (be sure to
clean it during on-site maintenance).
3. Wipe the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd mirrors with a silicone cloth or
optics cleaning paper.
4. Clean the optical filter with a blower brush.
5. Clean the original sensor with a blower brush.
1. Wipe the development unit toner hopper with a dry cloth.
2. Replace revolver filter
3. Clean the entire development unit (including covers and gears).
4. Visually check the side seals (replace seals if cracks, warps, or
breakages are found).
5. Clean the entrance and outlet seals with a dry cloth
(replace seals if cracks, warps, or breakages are found).
6. Clean the toner end sensor with a blower brush, then wipe it
with a dry cloth.
7. Wipe the development assembly bias terminals with a dry
cloth (any cloth contaminated by oil or other foreign
substances is disallowed).
1. Replace the PPC charge wire.
2. Wipe the PPC casing with a damp cloth, then with a dry cloth.
3. Wipe the PPC end block with a dry cloth.
4. Replace the cleaning blade, then apply setting powder.
5. Replace the lubricant bar.
6. Replace the cleaning brush.
7. Clean the entire cleaning unit and entrance mylar.
8. Clean the entire drum unit (including QL and potential sensor)
with a dry cloth.
9. Clean the entire drawer unit (including the ID sensor and
carrier catcher) with a dry cloth.
10. Replace the grid.
11. Replace the charge corona wire.
12. Replace the cleaner pad.
13. Clean the charge corona unit, wipe it with a damp cloth, then
wipe the casing with a dry cloth (be sure to clean it during
on-site maintenance).
