8. Install the inner and outer safety covers, making sure the cables pass through the openings in the sides of
the covers.
9. Secure the inner and outer supply safety covers with the screws removed in
Section 2.1.2

Installing the Chassis Ground Connection

If the ground terminal on the power supply module(s) is not connected to safety Earth, a connection must be
provided from the chassis ground terminal on the MX5000 chassis.
IMPORTANT!
If the ground terminal on the power supply module(s) is connected to safety Earth, a connection from
the chassis ground terminal is not required.
1. Position the grounding cable and external tooth lock washer on the MX5000.

1. External Tooth Lock Washer
2. Secure the grounding cable and external tooth lock washer to the MX5000 with one pan head screw. Torque
the screw to 3.4 N·m (30 lbf·in).
