Configure Display Settings

Before you configure your system for the Sun Common Desktop
Environment or OpenWindow, you need to set the display mode for
your display controller. Planar provides a default display mode that
you can use or override.
Read these sections before you configure CDE or OpenWindow:
• "Overriding the default display mode" on
• "Using visual classes" on
Then read the appropriate section for your window environment:
• "Running OpenWindow" on
• "Configuring the Common Desktop Environment" on
The Dome DX2 driver automatically detects the type of flat panel
connected and sets the default display mode as shown in this table.
