The front panel features one Kensington-compatible security slot. Use this slot to secure the router at the installation
location with a Kensington (or compatible) security cable.

Connected Grid Module Slots

The router has two module slots to support up to two compatible Cisco Connected Grid modules that add NAN and LAN
interfaces to the router.

Module Numbering
The router uses module numbering to identify the integrated and modular router components. Some system software
commands refer to the following module numbers.
Module 1 is the integrated router supervisor engine (located on the CPU motherboard)
Module 2 is the router integrated Ethernet switch module, which has six Fast Ethernet ports and two Gigabit Ethernet
ports.
Module 3 and Module 4 are external, Connected Grid modules installed in the router module slots with the
