Replacing the Toner Cartridge

When the toner eventually runs out, only blank pages print when a print job or copy job are
sent. In that case the incoming faxes are only saved in the memory and not printed. At this
stage, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced.
NOTE: You can also set the machine to continue printing a received fax. See page 156.
Order an extra toner cartridge so you will have it on hand when the current cartridge no
longer prints satisfactorily. See page 157 to order toner cartridges.
CAUTION: Dell does not recommend that you use toner cartridges from a
third-party refiller. Print quality and machine reliability cannot be guaranteed if
you do. For best results, use Dell supplies.
To replace the toner cartridge:
Open the front cover.

Lightly pull the used cartridge straight out.

brochure packed with the toner cartridge for details.
