Address Book Options
With your contact list displayed on the phone screen, you have the following
options:
open the contact record to view all the information associated with an
entry,
call the contact directly, or
send your contact a message (if you have subscribed to Nextel Online Two-
Way Messaging).
Go To
To open a contact record and view all information associated with an entry,
scroll to highlight the desired contact name and press o under "Go To".
Call
You may call a contact directly from the contact list. To
do so, scroll to highlight the desired contact name and
press o under "Call". The phone will automatically dial
the number that you designated as the primary number.
Alternatively, with a contact record open (see "Go To"
on page 106), you may call any of the phone numbers
listed for your contact. To do so, scroll to highlight the
number you wish to call and press o under "Call". The
call will automatically be placed in Phone mode or, if
you highlighted a Private ID, after pressing o under
"Call", press the PTT button to initiate a Direct Connect
call.

Send a Message

If you have subscribed to Two-Way Messaging, you can send a Text Message or
a Two-Way Message, from your phone, to one of your contacts right from your
Address Book!
With the contact record open, press o under "Apps" to open My

Applications page.
Highlight "Messaging" and press o under "OK".

The "Send Message to:" screen is displayed and you are prompted to
choose the messaging address to use: Mobile phone number or email
address. Scroll to highlight the messaging address you wish to use and
press o under "OK".

You will be brought to the "Create Message" screen in the Two-Way
Messaging application. Create and send your message as usual. For
additional information, see "Create the Message" on page 111.
