REP 4.1.7: Scanner motor and
gear assembly

1. Perform the following:
a. REP 1.1: WorkCentre Cover on page 4-3
2. Disconnect the scanner motor wiring harness
from main board connector CN5.
3. To remove the scanner motor only, remove
the 2 screws that secure the motor to its
mounting bracket (Figure 4-46).
To remove the scanner motor and
gear assembly, remove these screws
To remove the scanner motor only,
remove these screws

assembly, remove the two screws that secure
this assembly to the scanner chassis (Figure
