TRANSMISSION
LUBRICATION
The transmission lubricant level should be checked
and changed in accordance with the maintenance
schedule.
G Be sure the vehicle is level before proceeding.
G Check vent hose to be sure it is not kinked or
obstructed.
G Follow instructions to check / change transmission
lubricant.
To check the level:
1. Remove propshaft shield from the right side of the
vehicle.
2. Remove fill plug and visually inspect the oil level.
Level is correct when it reaches the bottom of the
fill hole as shown at right.
To change lubricant:
1. Remove propshaft shield from the right side of the
vehicle .
2. Remove transmission drain plug to drain the oil.
Catch and discard used oil properly.
3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug with a new
sealing washer. Torque to specification.
4. Remove fill plug.
5. Add Polaris Premium Synthetic Gearcase
Lubricant to proper level as described above.
6. Check for leaks.
7. Reinstall propshaft shield.
