9.3 Cleaning dirt bin and filter

If the dirt bin can no longer be completely
emptied ( Chapter 9.2, 'Emptying the dirt
bin') or if you can no longer remove dirt on the
filter by hand:
1. Take out and empty the dirt bin as de-
scribed under
Chapter 9.2, 'Emptying
the dirt bin'.
ATTENTION:
Dirt bin and filter are washable, but they are
not suitable for cleaning in washing
machines or dishwashers. Also, do not use
detergents or brushes with hard bristles.
2. Thoroughly rinse out the dirt bin by hand
under cold running water or lukewarm wa-
ter (Fig. 31).
3. Thoroughly rinse out the filter by hand un-
der cold running water or lukewarm water
(Fig. 32), until all the dirt is removed.
4. Let both elements dry for at least 24 hours
at room temperature (Fig. 33), until they
are completely dry.
5. Put the filter back in the dirt bin in such a
manner that the plastic grille of the filter
can be seen (Fig. 34). Forcefully press on
the filter.
6. Place the dirt bin cover on the dirt bin.
7. Proceed as described under
9.4, 'Inserting the dirt bin'.
