Do not open the door wide, as the window will remain cold. If the door is shut during this time, smoke will condense on the glass and form soot.

The fi re cools and the combustion quality decreases. • Using too much wood. This is a problem if your fi replace insert is too small. In that case, it becomes overloaded and burns more wood than heat emitted.
