• To use the flash, press the f button to make the flash pop up.
When the flash is closed, it will not discharge (Flash Off).
• The flash will not discharge (Flash Off) when the drive mode is set
to j or p or the focus mode is set to s or r.
• The flash discharges twice, first a pre-flash and then a second
time to take the picture. In the red-eye reduction modes, the
interval between the pre-flash and the main flash is longer.
• You cannot select Auto or Auto + Red-eye Reduction in a, b or
c mode.
• Use the flash to prevent camera shake if a blinks when the
shutter release button is pressed halfway.

Press the b button in Capture mode.

appears on the LCD monitor.
