The standard procedure for recording movies is described below.

Pull the grip out and rotate it into position.

Open the LCD monitor.

Press the power switch.
The camera turns on.

Press the C button.
Recording starts.
You can change the captured area by pressing
the Zoom/w/x lever to the right or left.
Press the lever gently to change the
captured area slowly and press it all the way
to change the area quickly.
x : enlarges the subject.
w : enlarges the area captured by the
camera.

Press the C button again.
Recording stops.
• You are recommended to use a tripod to prevent camera shake
when taking pictures at a high magnification rate.
• The self-timer lamp lights during movie recording to show that
recording is in process.
• The LCD monitor swivel mechanism (1p.23) does not function
during movie recording.
• The zoom bar does not appear on the LCD monitor when zooming
in or out during movie recording.
• When the shutter release button is pressed during movie
recording, the focus is locked.
