and it falls onto the windshield, the windshield
may be damaged by the force of the impact.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you have
the wiper blades changed at a qualified spe-
cialist workshop.

Always position the windshield wiper arms
vertically before folding them away from the
windshield. By doing so, you will avoid dam-
age to the hood.
Replacing the wiper blades
Removing the wiper blades
Turn the SmartKey to position 1 or 2 in the

ignition lock (
Set the windshield wiper to position °.

When the wiper arms have reached the verti-

cal position, turn the SmartKey to position 0
and remove it from the ignition lock
( page 115).

Fold the windshield wiper arms away from the

windshield.
Press both release clips ;.

Fold wiper blade : in the direction of

Installing the wiper blades
Position new wiper blade : with recess B

on lug A.
Fold wiper blade : in the direction of

arrow = onto the wiper arm, until retaining
clips ; engage in bracket ?.
Make sure that wiper blade : is seated cor-

Fold the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
