LEADS OR CONNECTIONS.
Connect
a source
of power at input terminal
panel

460-V,
3-phase,
60-Hz
to Series 5503A,
except
S-5503A-5
Connect
575-V,
3-phase,
60-Hz
to S-5503A-5
Connect
380-V,
3-phase,
50-Hz
to Series 5507A

A disconnect
switch
and fuses must be installed
in the input circuit
between
the power source and the generator
set.
Route the input
leads (cable or cm-
duit)
carefully
so they
will
not be a hazard
to personnel,
and not be subject
to wear and damage by wheeled
vehicles
and equipment.
See l-l,
Fig.
2
for recommended
cable
and fuse sizes;
however,
minimum
cablesize
must
cmform
to local
electrical
code.
Proper rotation
of the motor is C LOC KWISE
when viewed
from the front,
motor end (see arrow
m pushbutton
switch
panel).
If leads are not identified,
connect
at random and use a phase rotatim
meter
to determine
proper phase sequence.
If out of phase,
change
any two input
leads to correct,
If a phase rotation
meter
is not available,
check
for correct
rotation
as follows:
(a)
Remove
cne of the canopy
sides at the motor end so that the direction
of motor rotation
may be observed.
