an on-board
transformer-rectifier,
or from a twenty-e
ight-volt,
e lectr ica I
system.
Connection
from the aircraft
to the interlock
relay
is made through
terminals
E and F on the cable connectors.
On dual-output
math ines , inter lock relay (6) performs the same function
for
output cable no. 2 as relay
(7) does for cable no. 1.
(e)
Test bank switch
A single-pole,
single-throw
switch (9) provides a means of by-passing
the plug-
inter lock relay
(7) w h en supplying
power to a load bank,
or to an aircraft
not
equipped
with a plug-inter
lock system.
Another switch (8);is required
for the
dua I -output
math ine .
(f)
Resistor
A
lOO-ohm,
25-watt
resistor (3) is connected
in series with the plug inter-
lock relay (7) to protect
it in the event that phase "C" contacts
in the
load contactor
shoutd fail
to close when the generator
control
ON switch
is operated.
Another resistor (4) provides the same protection
for relay
(6) in the dual-output
unit.
(9)
Fuse-interlock
relay
The function
of the fuse-interlock
relay (10) is to interrupt
the
load con-
tactor holding
coil circuit
and remove the load in* case of a "blown"
fuse
(16) in the protective
relay coil circuit.
(h)
Test panel
.This test panel .(17) is one of five used throughout
the generator
set.
It
provides
identified
and conveniently
located
test points for testing
com-
ponents
and circuitry
of the protective
relay tray.
It is to
be used in con-
junction
with generator
set schematics
(Fig. 8,
for single output
and
Fig. 9 for
dual output),
and test values
(Ref.
2-3,
Fig.
2 through
5).
See Figure for schematic
diagram
of the protective
monitor.
(i)
Connector
/
A
twenty-six
contact
connector
(Ref. Fig. 7, item 18) provides
a quick-
,!
\
'\
disconnect
facility
for all wiring
to electrical
components
so that the
/'
complete
tray assembly
may be removed
quickly
and easily.
