Connect the negative wire from the power source to the negative terminal on the terminal block.
CAUTION!
Electrical hazard – risk of damage to the device. For Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support, make
sure the PoE power source is isolated from earth/chassis ground. Do not connect either positive or
negative terminals to chassis ground.

Connect the ground terminal on the power source to the chassis ground terminal on the device.

Grounding the Device

The RUGGEDCOM RS900GP chassis features a threaded hole for connecting the device to ground (Earth). It is
recommended to terminate the ground connection with an M3 ring or spade lug, and then torque to 1.7 N·m (15
lbf-in).
