SLEEP TIMER
Use this feature to autonlatically set this unit in the
standby mode after the amount of time you have set. The
sleep titner is useful when you are going to sleep while
this unit is playing or recording a source. The sleep tinler
also autonlatical1y turns off the external cOlnponents
connected to AC OUTLET(S).
The sleep timer can only be set

the renlote control.

• By connecting a commercially available timer to this unit, you
can also set a
\Vake-llp
tin1er. Refer to the operation instructions
of the timer.
Press SLEEP repeatedly until "SLEEP OFF"
appears on the front panel display.
After a few seconds, "SLEEP OFF" disappears, the
"SLEEP" indicator goes off and the display returns
to the previous indication.

Select a source and start playback on the
source component.
• The sleep tin1er setting can also be canceled by setting this unit
in the standby mode by using STANDBY on the remote control
(or STANDBY/ON on the front panel) or by disconnecting the
AC power cord fron1 the AC outlet.

to set the amount of time.
Each tinle you press SLEEP,
the front panel display changes
as shown below. The SLEEP
indicator flashes while
s\vitching the anlount of time
for sleep ti mer.
