ADJUSTING THE SPEAKER OUTPUT LEVELS

Press AMP to select the
AMP mode.
AMP appears in the display
windo\v on the remote control.
Adjust the volume of this
unit so you can hear the
test tone.
Press TEST to output the
test tone.
Use the test tone to balance the output levels of the
speakers required for a surround sound systeln. The
adjustnlent of each speaker output level should be n1ade at
your listening position with the renlote control. After
completing the adjustments, use VOL +/- at your
listening position to check if the adjustn1ents are
satisfactory.

Turn on the video monitor connected to this
unit.
Press SPEAKERS A or B
to select the main
speakers to be used.
If you are using two sets of the
lnain speakers, press both A
and B.

Set the BASS and TREBLE controls on the
front panel to the center position and turn off
BASS EXTENSION and PROCESSOR
DIRECT
by
pressing the buttons.
"'BASS EXT. OFF' and
'~P.
DIRECT OFF" appear
on the front panel display.
This section explains how to adjust the speaker output
levels by using the test tone generator. When this
adjustnlent is made, the output level heard at the listening
position will be the same from each speaker. This is
important for the best perfornlance of the digital sound
field processor, and various decoders (Dolby DigitaL
Dolhy Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic
II,
DTS, DTS ES, and
DTS Neo: 6).

• Since this unit cannot enter the test mode while headphones are
connected to this unit. be sure to unplug the headphones from
the PHONES jack \vhen using the test tone.
